YOUR MISSION

Create a video, 60 seconds or less, that demonstrates how AmazonWireless eliminates the frustration synonymous with the typical mobile phone purchase path. We encourage submissions to be humorous, but be sure to focus on how AmazonWireless keeps the phone shopping experience exciting and easy by giving customers the freedom to choose the phone and/or service plans that’s right for them by highlighting its core benefits relative to buying a phone in a physical store:

  • Great Selection – Creatively demonstrate how AmazonWireless offers a broad selection of phones so that customers have access to the devices they desire.

  • Customer Reviews and Detailed Product Content – Show how customer reviews and detailed product content help users discover and choose the device that’s right for them and avoid missing out on the latest and greatest features, or conversely, buying a phone with features they don't want or need.

  • Legendary Service – Amazon is synonymous with customer service excellence. Illustrate how AmazonWireless can save the day with its free and fast shipping or 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

  • Great Prices – Many of today’s hottest devices cost as little as one penny to buy. Display how AmazonWireless saves you money while helping you enhance your mobile experience.

  • Accessories, Apps and More – AmazonWireless not only brings Amazon features to the phone shopping experience, but also makes it easy for you to find all the things you need to take your device to the next level.

Ultimately, AmazonWireless wants you to bring these core benefits to life in a humorous way through your compelling video making skills.

Amazon.com is a friendly, approachable brand dedicated to delivering the best online shopping experience. While Amazon.com can certainly appreciate a joke, it prefers clean, clever or tongue-in-cheek comedy to the risqué, mean or irreverent.

Do not show any 3rd party logos whether they be phone, carrier, store or app logos. The AmazonWireless logo is OK. Mentioning Android phones is OK, but refrain from using trademarked Android logos and images.

Also, keep in mind that this campaign focuses on the AmazonWireless experience. Your work should not compare the benefits of individual carriers or devices in a competitive context, i.e. using AmazonWireless to claim that one mobile carrier may be better than another.

Please do not use screen shots in your video. Because AmazonWireless is a retail website, it is difficult to feature screenshots of its marketplace without also featuring 3rd party logos and other trademarked items (like Windows, Mac OS, Firefox browser, etc.). Therefore, we request that you do not use screenshots in your video.

All music, images, video footage and other content must be either originally produced by the filmmaker submitting the video, or proper permissions must be authorized by the copyright owner. Proper permissions must include the right for the filmmaker to use the content commercially. Likewise, it is the responsibility of the filmmaker to ensure that all permissions are in place for use of actors' likenesses.


CONTEST AWARDS

Judging

A panel of judges (TBA) will determine six of the award-winning videos based on the following criteria:

  • Demonstrating the value of AmazonWireless (25%)
  • Inventive storyline (25%)
  • Production value (25%),
  • Capturing the essence of the AmazonWireless brand (25%)
Community

The two remaining community awards will be determined through community voting starting at the opening of the entry period and ending a week after the close of the entry period, at 4pm PST on October 5, 2011. The top two most voted videos on Zooppa’s website will receive the 1st and 2nd community awards.

Judges' and Community winners will be announced on or after October 6, 2011.

In addition to receiving a cash award, winning videos will be featured on Amazon.com and its online properties, including official blogs, Facebook Pages and Twitter feeds.


TARGET MARKET

Customers who are seeking to simplify their phone shopping experience. Generally, they are 18-45 year olds who are e-commerce comfortable and most likely returning Amazon customers. These people may be early tech adopters or regular cell phone and smartphone users.


OWNERSHIP

All material submitted becomes the sole property of Amazon and will not be returned. Amazon reserves the right to (a) reproduce/distribute all entries submitted in any and all media throughout the world in perpetuity, (b) alter, amend, edit or change entries prior to distribution and (c) use, distribute, reproduce, alter, amend and copyright entries for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Entrants do not retain any ownership of or copyright in any Contest submissions. Amazon and Zooppa are not under any obligation to use submitted content. You may not resubmit content that was not chosen for an award for another use, brand, or contest.
