AT&T Rethink PossibleSM Simplify Your Life Video Contest Brief

Here’s your chance to win big prizes making cool videos for AT&T.

Simple changes can make huge differences in our everyday lives — AT&T’s Online Services allow you to easily manage your account, pay automatically online and get answers about your account at anytime without picking up a phone. Simple, right?

So … what we want you to do is to make a video about how AT&T’s Online Services can simplify and improve life. How you interpret this is entirely up to you. Here are some examples:

  • You might discover that AT&T’s Online Services will, over time, eliminate many hours of searching for misplaced bills. In your video you show what you will do with that saved time.
  • This simplification of your life, thanks to AT&T’s Online Services, inspires you to cast off many belongings and things that complicate your life … you may wish to contemplate which these might be.
  • AT&T’s Online Services inspire you to try and make your entire life paperless, with comic consequences…
  • Because AT&T’s Online Services allow you to manage your account on the go, you decide to put this to the test. You demonstrate that no matter where you are, or what you do, you can manage your account on the go.

These are just examples, we’re sure that you will come up with many other ideas about how AT&T Online Services can simplify life. So, you tell us what matters.

The best video will be chosen by AT&T to win the Grand Prize of $20,000. There are a total of $30,000 in cash prizes for the best videos. You can see a list of all the contest awards here. Even if you're not a video maker, you can be eligible to win $1,000 by sharing videos in our sharing contest drawing.

Your video must reference one or more of these four aspects of AT&T Online Services:

Remember the point of the campaign is to show — in a lighthearted, fun and engaging way — how AT&T Online Services simplify life. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

You must be 18 years or older and a US resident to enter a video. Employees and relatives of AT&T and Zooppa are not eligible to participate. While we encourage you to be creative in your approach, your video submission must reflect your actual individual experience with using AT&T’s Online Services.

Video submissions should take these points into account:

  • Videos should be 60 seconds or less
  • We prefer videos shot in HD
  • Use a tripod when shooting, unless shaky video is intended
  • Capture high quality sound. Pay special attention to background noises while filming; make sure that recorded audio is clean and clear
  • Only use music that you have created yourself (using Garageband, Apple Loops, your own instruments etc.) or music for which you have purchased a commercial license
  • Do not include any trademarked images or apparel (e.g. a Nike swoosh on a shirt, a major league baseball team logo, etc.)
  • Submissions with incorrect grammar or spelling may be rejected

Other considerations:

  • The AT&T globe and “Rethink Possible” mark may not be used as a design element within the video and should only be used as a sign off at the end of the video. For the appropriate logo, download from Files here.
  • The globe should always be used with "Rethink Possible". This is a mark of AT&T and should not be separated.
  • You are permitted to use the AT&T globe, Rethink Possible and AT&T solely for use in the Simplify Your Life Contest.
  • AT&T is a mass brand. The video needs to appeal to a broad range of people and must not offend anyone.
  • The video needs to be your original work.
  • Make sure you have permission to use any of the content you display in your video submission. This means, do not use copyrighted music in your video and avoid displaying third party logos/marks (non-AT&T logos).
  • AT&T cannot accept submissions that feature the iPhone or Apple branding.
  • Do not include identifiable persons in your video, unless you have received written consent for use of their image/likeness in the video.
  • If you incorporate AT&T’s new brand slogan “Rethink Possible” into the contest, be sure to follow our Trademark Guidelines below. The digital graphic of the Rethink Possible logo is available from the “Graphics and Logo” button. It is optional if you choose to use it in your video.

Ownership

All material submitted becomes the sole property of AT&T and will not be returned. AT&T reserves the right to: (a) use applicant’s name and likeness and reproduce/distribute all entries submitted in any and all media throughout the world in perpetuity, (b) alter, amend, edit or change entries prior to distribution and (c) use, distribute, reproduce, alter, amend and copyright entries for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Entrants do not retain any ownership of or copyright in any Contest submissions. AT&T and Zooppa are not under any obligation to use submitted content. You may not resubmit content that was not chosen for an award for another use, brand, or contest.

By entering the Contest, entrants agree to release AT&T from any liability, which they, their heirs, successors, assigns or any other party may make in connection with their participation. Entrants further agree to release, indemnify and hold AT&T harmless from and against any and all losses, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees arising out of a breach of any representations and warranties), third party liabilities, demands, claims, lawsuits, allegations, fines, losses, damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, causes of action (whether or not finally adjudicated, and including settlement thereof), penalties and forfeitures (including, without limitation, travel to and from any location used in connection with the Contest, the making, taping, production, use, editing, distribution, licensing, promoting, and/or exhibition of the application submission materials including, without limitation, any claims, actions or lawsuits for wrongful death, negligence and/or other fault, either active or passive, personal injury, wrongful death, defamation, false light, violation of right of publicity, invasion of privacy, property damage, disclosure of embarrassing private facts, fraud, breach of contract, infringement of copyright, and negligent or intentional infliction of emotional distress), or violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

To participate in this contest, you must comply with the rules of this brief, and with the general contest rules, which can be found in the Terms and Conditions, and in the Submission Agreement. Rules of this Brief supercede general contest rules. Please note that in order to win a prize, you will be required to certify in writing, via the Copyright Clearance Form, that all content in your entry is your original work, is in the public domain, or is used with the written permission of the author or owner of the work, and does not violate the publicity or privacy rights of any person. The unlicensed use of another person’s copyright, publicity or privacy rights could disqualify your contest entry. This includes the use of video, photographs, animation, still or motion graphics, music, sound effects, fonts and in some cases trademarks unless provided by the contest sponsor.

In the event of a conflict between the terms of this Contest Brief and a contest rule, term or condition set forth in Submission Agreement, Official Rules and the Terms and Conditions, the terms of this Contest Brief will govern.
